- Leonie Balderstone 15 Aug 2008

Hi, Love the detail and presentation of your models. Dad is up on holidays and suggested I take a look at your site- fantastic. I've been an avid aero modeller and built a couple of boats over the years and really appreciate the detailing and skill it takes to make a good looking scale model. Well done. Keep up the good work Andrew
- Andrew Bounader 20 Jul 2008

love all the models on your site. has anyone thought of making a model of the evolved arlliegh burke design that should have been chosen for the awd project.
- lindsay baker 22 Jun 2008

Wow Russ, you've come a long way since drinking beers and playing Connect-4 in the Fawlty Towers and Butterfly bars in Phuket! Well done that man! I've heard very favourable comment from everyone I've seen around the models on display at Russell Offices and other places. Do you do models of the old wooden warriors (Ton Class Minesweepers) like Curlew & Snipe? Them were the days - argh! Keep it up big man. I'm in Canberra these days in the Healthcare ICT world, a world away from the Puss. Drop me a line sometime. Kev
- Kevin Burdette 31 May 2008

Gday Russ Good to see that everything is going well for you. Working in Brisbane for DOD as a Senior Security Adviser. All is well. Do you know of anybody in Brisbane with model for display purposes for recruiting?
- CARL LEVINGE 18 Apr 2008

I am very impressed with the quality of your work. I have a question for you, could you make a Similar armoured vehicle as the ASLAV-25 Scale 1:10 Except it being the Canadian Military version, I don't know the exact Canadian Military Disignation though. BUT the most important part is that I would like to Remote Control it. All I would have you do is have it ready for me to drop in the Electronics and Motors and I would like the Gun Turret and Rear Door to also be movable. Can you do it and of course, how long and how much ? Please let me know. Thank You For Your Time !! George Tonkovic Canada

Hi Russ. The site is looking good, like your models. cheers, graeme Martin www.shipmodels.co.nz
- Graeme Martin 2 May 2005

Dear Russ, Good to see your still building first class models - I must admit your warship models are truly first class. Do you have any ship models available or are you only working on orders? My interest is probably something in the 3-4 foot size - destroyer or frigate. Hope you are keeping well. I am still taking warship photos, though since retirement the opportunities are not as great. Kind regards, John Mortimer
- John Mortimer 30 Mar 2005

Love the Fremantle class, I would give my left one to have one with 204 as the side numbers
- Paul Bradley 2 Feb 2005

G'day Russ (Monty); Long time no hear. I was doing a bit of surfing for models and low and behold, up pops good old Russ. Who would have thought way back in '92 when we painted the back of the 10 on Adelaide that it would have caught on. Good on you for doing something that you're passionate about and obviously making it a success. You of all people deserve it. Me, well I'm still in the Grey Funnel Line and getting my second hook in Jul. Must have been French trained..... All the best Matt Tyrrell P.S. Drop me an email and I will fill you in on the goss.
- Matt Tyrrell 6 Jan 2005

Hi Russ, Me again, forgot to mention that the paying off plaque you did for me in 98 is still hanging proudly in my study. Gary
- Gary Swanton 28 Dec 2004

G'day Russ, I have been out of the navy for just on 6 years now and thought it would be nice to have a go at building a model FFG to remind me of my time on Newcastle. Your name popped into my head straight away when I was trying to recall the name of the bloke who used to do model ships during my time in the Navy. Anyway have stumbled across DMG and it looks like you have gone from strength to strength. All the best and congratulations on turning what was a hobbie into a job. Now back to my model ship hunting for a little FFG 06. All the best Gary Swanton
- Gary Swanton 28 Dec 2004

I first saw one of your models at an ADFA open day and thought that it was the best that I had ever seen. I would also like to know how much it would be for working Adelaide class FFG (preferrably the HMAS Sydney). Keep up the outstanding work.
- Craig Perrin 26 Dec 2004

I wish to purchase a FFG and a SUCCESS hull or kit(s) if poosible could you please point me in the right direction. Thank You Shane Lynch
- Shane Lynch 17 Jan 2003

Hi: I live in Brooklyn New York (USA) and have just received your Vendetta kit to build for a client. I am sure I will have questions in the near future regarding the project. Initially I am curious about the color scheme. The US Navy mostly uses a Haze Grey for the Hull and Horizontal surfaces and my client has furnished a slightly darker paint chip for those areas. Any comments?. The component parts look excellent. What can you suggest as a primer for the hull? Joe..
